With tracking on, KLCT adds an invisible pixel and rewrites links; the first open and the first click are stamped on the email log and notify the rep. Apple Mail Privacy Protection prefetches are detected and recorded separately as machine opens, so open rates and Wait-for-Open steps only count human opens. Tracking is toggled account-wide in Settings > Email Sending and can be overridden per sequence.
