Open the widget > AI & articles tab. Set AI answers to "On" and pick an AI source chatbot (a Chat-type agent). If you have no chatbot the select is empty and the page points you at creating a Chat agent. The same tab lets you tick the actions the assistant may take (nothing is allowed until ticked) and link knowledge bases.
