Tick the checkbox on any row (or the header checkbox for the whole page) and a dark bar appears at the bottom with Edit, Add to list, Remove from list, Assign owner, Enroll, Unenroll, Export, Delete and Clear. If you check a full page, a banner offers "Select all N matching", which applies the action to every contact matching the current search and filters, not just the visible page.
