Turn on Push notifications under Settings > Alerts in the app. Per-category preferences (Live chat, Tickets, Calls, Tasks, Shifts, Digests) share the same notification matrix an admin edits on your employee record. On iPhone, notifications only work once the app has been added to the home screen and opened from there.
